Church Conflict Resolution Services
Charles is uniquely suited to help parties resolve Church conflict (including legal and
non- legal pastoral/interpersonal disputes) in light of his professional and seminary background experiences. As a seminarian with decades of Church experiences at the parish and diocesan level, Charles has a depth of understanding of the various theological, pastoral and interpersonal issues involved in Church disputes.
Although Gernazian Legal Services, LLC can tailor its conflict resolution services to meet the particular needs of the parties in any Catholic/Christian dispute, the two principal means of resolving Church conflict are as follows:
Church Mediations (Legal and Non-Legal disputes)
As to Church mediations, Charles offers the parties his unique perspective as someone who has served in a variety of Church ministries, thus providing the parties with a neutral who has institutional knowledge of the unique dynamics involved in the Church setting.
As to legal disputes, Charles combines his ecclesiastical experiences with his extensive lawyer/mediator background to offer parties a particularized and optimal environment in which to mediate legal claims and/or settle lawsuits.
In addition to offering mediation services to resolve legal claims, Charles offers interpersonal mediations to resolve all types of conflict (whether at the diocesan/synod level or at the parish/religious community/congregation level).
Church Conflict Resolution (Facilitations)
Given the unique nature of Church conflict, which often encompasses legal, pastoral, psychological and theological issues, some disputes and/or decision-making conflict are more effectively addressed through an informal process known as "Facilitation."
Charles combines the best practices governing the role of "Facilitator" with his intuitive approach to resolving interpersonal conflict in order to help the parties narrow, if not resolve, the conflict for the good of the Church organization or religious community. Given Charles' ability to understand and recognize the continuum of perspectives in Church disputes, the Facilitation process will meaningfully value the perspectives and religious convictions of all participants. At a minimum, Facilitations can provide the means by which the participants can optimize their chances of embracing cooperation and eschewing further conflict and division.
Facilitations are ideally suited to assist Catholic/Christian communities experiencing tensions and divisions over same sex attraction realities.
